The Children’s Challenge organises highly competitive national Virtual Challenges for primary schools. The concept is unique. What differentiates these Virtual Challenges is the element of inter-school competition which significantly increases the level of engagement and really brings these events to life.

These events are designed to:

  1. Physically challenge participants

  2. Engender a sense of community and teamwork through competition

  3. Where desirable - be a centrally organised, fund raising opportunity for schools. This saves schools both valuable time and money.

To date, the historic Virtual Distance Challenges have been a tremendous success with over 100 primary schools representing over 30,000 pupils around the UK participating. Each event is hugely competitive and tremendously engaging for children, parents and teachers alike.

Latest Event:

Spring 2021 - Half Term Distance Challenge

This event was a phenomenal success. 88 primary schools representing c28,000 children registered to participate from around the country. In total, schools travelled a total of 71,596 kilometres. To put this into perspective, that is 1.79x around the circumference of the Earth!
