The Children’s Challenge organises bespoke virtual team building events for corporates. There is no limit to the level of customisation that can be achieved. What differentiates The Children’s Challenge Virtual Challenges is the potential for intense internal competition through multiple league tables and motivational commentary which significantly increases the level of engagement. For corporates, the competition can be at a business unit, department, site, family or individual level. Or why not take on one of your competitors to really raise the stakes…!

The events are highly personalised and fully immersive and bare no relation to virtual challenges that just involve submitting a distance into an app. They are unique.

“This is insane! We have smashed the total distance of the challenge in 3 days. It is so funny, MD’s are messaging round to their teams to get them to put more effort in! People who have never walked at all are buying new trainers and arranging walks with other colleagues who have never walked before!! I think the way you word your emails is really making people feel they are part of a competition, it’s brilliant!” P.A to Breedon CEO & CFO
Thank you so much Stephen it’s been a great couple of weeks getting out and getting involved in the different events! Everyone has loved reading the daily results commentary and it was really touching to see everyone’s picture submissions whilst out on walks/runs/cycles with family members! It was an amazing way to get everyone communicating in a fun way (not just work related) and feel more connected from the virtual lockdown world we have all been living in.

There is no administration required from the corporate with everything being handled centrally by The Children’s Challenge.

What corporates get:

  1. A fully customised distance challenge with, if desired, a route that incorporates key locations relevant to the corporate

  2. A bespoke webpage hosted by The Children’s Challenge for all participants to log their distance and to monitor their progress. The webpage can also host photographs taken by participants to inspire and encourage others.

  3. Fully customisable league tables showing divisional rankings, team rankings, family rankings, and individuals rankings. These can be further broken down to show results on a per discipline basis, ie. walking, running and cycling. The level of analysis that is possible is unprecedented. 4. Motivational narrative to accompany the league tables, enhancing the sense of competition and the level of engagement. This is a huge differentiator and personalises the event to really bring a Virtual Challenge to life. Please click ‘here’ for anonymised example commentary.

  5. An unstinting focus on providing the best possible experience for both the organiser and all participants.

  6. The knowledge that by undertaking a Virtual Challenge with The Children’s Challenge, corporates are helping to support the roll out of primary school Expedition Societies into increasingly deprived areas across the UK.

As a recent survey shows below, given the highly personalised nature of the event, the feedback has been phenomenal. There can be few better ways to promote the physical and mental wellbeing of staff whilst building an ‘esprit de corps’.

Following on from the success of the inaugural Breedon Virtual Challenge, this event was designed to support the physical and mental wellbeing of all Breedon employees. This event was all about the duration of exercise that individuals and families are able to undertake over 10 days. Exercise included running, walking, cycling, yoga, pilates and even fishing. Indeed, it was anything that benefited the employees physical and mental health.
